Retail Therapy

Thanks for all of your sweet comments and e-mails about my post yesterday. You have encouraged me so much. If I could sing - I would sing like Christy Nockels and if I could write songs - I would have wrote her song "More than you'll ever know". These are the words that remind me of all the wonderful friends (that I know and that I know through blogs) who pray for me and encourage me. I hope I do the same for you.

'Cause you've been more than a friend to me
You fight off my enemies
'Cause you've spoken the Truth over my life
And you'll never know what it means to me
Just to know you've been on your knees for me
Oh, you have blessed my life

On a happier note, I did get this dress at the Gap yesterday. I'm wearing it to my office Christmas party Thursday night but I'm sure I'll be wearing it to work and church and wherever else as well. I love brown. I also love the Gap (and it's relatives - Old Navy and Banana Republic and Baby Gap)!

Edit: Curious minds have wondered what kind of shoes I will wear - I'm a boot girl. So I'll be wearing brown tights and brown boots. (and a gray tank top underneath - it's a little low cut for me). I thought about looking for some gray boots and tights - but I don't think I would wear them enough to make them worth my while.

Hey! I have been following your blog and love it!! I like how you keep it updated and express your feelings. I started a blog but have not kept up with it! I just want to say be patient in the baby department, God is good! I can totally understand the sadness. I had cervical cancer last year and now we are unable to have children. It saddens me everyday but I have to believe that this was His plan and at least I am cancer free. Hang in there girl and if you need to talk, shoot me an email at Ridgley51405@aol.com! Merry Christmas too!

Okay, I think you might be me in disguise! :) Today I have been thinking about a beautiful pair of grey boots I saw at Dillards that have been calling my name. I love me some retail therapy too! It's not materialistic, as I explained to my husband, it's an "appreciation of beauty."

LOVE the dress too! You will look beautiful!

I'm glad you added the little thing about wearing a tank top underneath because I was going to tell you I think you need an undershirt on under that dress!!

I've seen that dress and love it! I also was wondering what shoes you would wear but brown will be great! You'll have to post a picture of you at your party.

That's a very cute dress! I may have to check it out myself! I think the brown tights and brown boots will look great with it. I also like boots with dresses. Can't wait to see a picture!
