It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I love Christmas. I love the whole season - it's one of my favorite times of year. And I'm gearing up for it.......I'm already half finished with my Christmas shopping, I've already started picking out our Christmas card and I've mentally decorated our house for the holidays.
But does it make any one else stressed out when you go to Wal-Mart on the 4th of November and it's 70 degrees outside and the trees have just NOW turned color and yet there are Christmas trees to greet you at the front door, they are playing Christmas music over the loud speaker, the decorations are everywhere and the person next to you is buying a buggy full of Christmas lights and a new tree? Not to mention the fact that I looked down the street Saturday and my neighbor was hanging his Christmas lights????
I just want to enjoy fall for a few days. I still love my pumpkin and hay and mums. I'm just not quite ready to make the switch yet.

When I lived in Camden, it was always like that! I know it seems kinda crazy, doesn't it?! I love Christmas too, but I'm like you. I try to enjoy and not jump right to Christmas!

I absolutely refuse to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving! I was at Walmart on Saturday, and yep, same thing. Music, decorations, the whole shebang. Stress!

Yes, it does stress me out! But I've already done most of my shopping so I'm very proud of myself! I hope to finish it up in the next couple of weeks! I do love Christmas but it is just November! I'm going to refrain from decorating until the weekend after Thanksgiving!!!!

I must agree...I am one of the BIGGEST FANS of Christmas too. Love it, love it, love it, but while I was out & about this weekend I was thinking isn't it a bit early for all this stuff to be on display? Where did the fall stuff go? I mean it is only the beginning of November. Then again, I was the sucker that wanted to buy everything & Tim had to remind me that Christmas was still about 1 month & a half away so we didn't HAVE to buy everything today!

I totally agree--I like for Thanksgiving to be it's own, separate FALL holiday...then start on Christmas (although I think I might need to start now if I'm going to get anything decorated since I can only do any task for about 5 minutes straight these days!). I'm very jealous that you're 1/2 done w/Christmas shopping...I'm stressed out just thinking about it. Online shopping sounds excellent this year. jlg

Oh taht cracks me up that your neighbor is already hanging up his Christmas lights!

And me too, I'm about half way down with my shopping. I just love shopping before it gets super crazy in the stores.

Honestly...I have been SO excited about decorating, I have lost sleep thinking about it! I am going to start my decorating in 1 week...I know, I know...too early. BUT, we are going to Gulf Shores the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and won't be home till Sunday. I want to come home to a fully decorated house...we'll see how well that goes!!!

This makes me laugh!! I still have my mums and pumpkins but husband will start to put up our Christmas lights this weekend and me, the tree. We just don't want to be rushing around..so we are taking our time. Plus, we do have about 4 Christmas trees. :o)
