Girl's Saturday

Today is a busy and fun Saturday. It started off by going to "Mugs and Muffins" at church this morning. This is an event we have at our church twice a year for women. We start out drinking coffee and eating muffins and getting door prizes and visiting. And then we go in the church and have a speaker. It is always SO good. Today we had two girls I went to OBU with speak. They live in Scott's home town. One of them, Beth Ann Rankin, was Miss Arkansas. And the other has a really sad story about losing a child. They both sing really well and they sang several songs and shared with us. A lot of girls showed up so it was really fun!
Afterwards - my friend Elizabeth and I headed over to Pass Your Plate to make meals. This was Elizabeth's first time and I think she had a lot of fun. I haven't done it in a while so I'm glad that we did so now I have meals for several weeks and Scott won't be stuck eating sandwiches every night!

And then in a couple of hours we are headed to the game! Go hogs!

Kelly,

I discovered your blog a while ago and have been a major lurker. Had to de-lurk to tell you that I went to OBU with Beth Anne. She's a year younger than me. My husband pastored a church near Magnolia for 5 years, after that we lived in Arkadelphia, and 4 years ago, we moved to Colorado. You're probably much younger than me, but I'm sure we know some of the same OBU people!

So jealous you're going to the Razorback game today. I usually fly home for at least one game each fall, but this year I couldn't work it out!

Enjoy your weekend!

I have always wanted to do something like Pass the Plate. It seems like so much fun & you have great meals in the end. Guess I better research some places in Houston!
