Hostess with the Mostest

I got asked to be on the church hostess committee recently and I'm beyond thrilled. I will be able to serve the church in the area that I enjoy most - cooking, decorating, organizing and serving. I'm so blessed to have a wonderful church to be apart of and I'm so excited that God gives me ways to be used.
Yesterday was my mam-ma's birthday. She went to heaven earlier this year and I miss her so much but I know that when I cook or entertain or do things for others - it is coming naturally down the line from her. My mother is a wonderful cook and loves to have people over for dinner or parties and likes to do for others and she got that from my mam-ma. They are two Godly women who are also wonderful wives and mothers and I hope to be more and more like them. Above is my mam-ma on Christmas day soon before she passed away and my brother, mom, Aunt Linda and me.
My mam-ma was the original "hostess with the mostest".

I just love that you have this picture of 3 generations.

How sweet & wonderful are the things we are able to earn from our grandparents. I love hearing & seeing of family stories, recipes, photos & other things from my family's past.

Blessings & Aloha!

(I like to peek at some of the first posts of the blogs I enjoy following. :o)
Journals are a blessing to be able to come back through. I didnt even know what a blog was until my daughter showed me hers...we had a caring bridge page for our youngest when he was 14 and first diagnosed with cancer, so I was a blogger in a sense and didnt even know it :o) (We are so thankful that he has been healed, is a healthy college sophomore who is a strong witness for what the Lord has done!)
