Whole 30 update

I have made is 21 days! I feel good.  

My stomach issues that have been apart of my life forever are so much better so I know that eating real food is the way to go.  I will have to see in another week if it's dairy, sugar or gluten that bothers me.  or all of the above. 

I actually love eating this way.  I won't lie - I'm sort of counting the days until  I can have real tacos and chips and salsa and diet coke again but I'm going to try to eat it a little less often.  

I didn't lose any weight this week.  I have drank a lot less water this past week.  I was really trying to drink a ton of water the first week or two and I just kind of slacked this past week - not drinking much at all.  So I'm going to try to up the water for the next 9 days.  I also did eat out twice this past week.  I had two lunch meetings/time with family so I ate as close to compliant as I possible could.  

I didn't take pictures of my food much because I basically ate the same stuff. 

A LOT of grilled chicken, salmon, avocado, roasted veggies (zucchini, broccoli, squash, green beans, etc).  

I got some shrimp and ate that with avocado several days for lunch.  

And last night I made steak kabobs on the grill.  I just brushed a little olive oil and salt on them.  They were so good.  We had them again for lunch today.  It's a great time to do Whole 30 in the summer when you grill so many of your meals! 

Another thing I got this week was Tessemae's dressing from Whole Foods.  We haven't ate a lot of salads because I didn't have any dressings to use but these are whole 30 approved.  So we may eat more salads in the coming week.  

Overall - I'm still a big fan and if you are thinking about it - do it! It's just 30 days.  :-)
