New Week, New Things

So first of all........

I'm so sorry - I completely slipped from posting SUYL on Friday.  It is on a very important topic that is close to my heart - infertility.  So many of you are struggling with this and my prayer is for you to find others who are in the same boat and connect and find encouragement or an understanding friend. We will move everything out a week and do it this Friday.

We had quite a busy week last week.  Tuesday, we headed to the CUTEST kids store in the world - Southern Style for story hour.  This is in our downtown and is such a precious store.

They read books and had cookies - it was a lot of fun.

We also had swimming lessons last week.  We did them at a friends' house who has a heated pool.  It was a blustery 56 one of the days but the kids didn't seem to mind.  I was COLD.  They did great - Harper swims great and Hollis is on her way.

On Wednesday, I woke up with a terrible case of food poisoning (from a place that will I will keep anonymous).  I was SO sick.  I had to call Scott to come home from work once I got Will down for a nap.  I don't know what I would have done without him.  I couldn't get out of bed most of the day.  in the late afternoon, Hollis came in to tell me Will was asleep on daddy.  I was too weak to stand up so I handed her my phone and told her to take a picture so I could see.  She did such a good job - I don't know who was more exhausted - father or son.

Hollis went to a birthday party for a friend this weekend.  She had so much fun.

All I could think about was this picture four years ago when they were around Will Holden's age and just how quick that went.  These two are headed to kindergarten in a few months.

The rest of our week was spent chasing this boy.  Do you see the twinkle in his eye? I've always had a weakness for boys with big smiles and a mischievous light in their eyes.  Well, now I've got a son who has both and I have a bad feeling he's going to have my number all his life. ha!

My sweets before church today.  It's nearly impossible to get them all in a picture these days but this was pretty close to perfect.

My girls

Okay - so I'm starting something NEW tomorrow (Monday morning) and I'm going to share my journey with you.  Scott and I are doing Whole 30.  Y'all know I've had a struggle with my weight for the last couple of years.  Here I am 13 months out from having a baby and I'm still only 10 pounds less than the day I came home from the hospital.  I have honestly tried and lost and gained the same 10 pounds over and over in the last few months but I'm just frustrated.  I also know that my energy level is low and I'm just not as healthy as I could be.

I don't have any interest in taking pills or drinking special drinks - I know I need a complete lifestyle change.  And I've watched a lot of people do Whole 30 and it has really interested me.  Not just for weight loss  but to give me a refresh and just a health makeover.

I know a lot of you are whole 30 experts and have done it many times or live it and some of you have no idea what I'm talking about but either way - I'm just going to take you along on my journey.

I'm going to do a weekly update on Mondays.  I'm going to post pictures and details of what I ate for every meal.  I'm going to detail the plan for you.  I'm going to post progress details and pictures.  Let's just see what happens!!

I'm excited about the food actually.  The only things I'm not super excited about are 1. all the meal planning and work.  This is no processed foods, no sugar, no grains, no legumes, no dairy.  And 2. No Diet coke.  I'll admit I'm addicted.  But I know drinking water will be a great thing for me.

So Next Monday I will have a full report!

So there you have it - that's what new with me!
