Art is the Imitation of Life

Last week was an eventful week in our house.

Hollis finished preschool.  I can't believe how much she has grown in the last 4 years since she started at her preschool.  It was such a great place for her.  She learned so much and became so confident!

Thursday she graduated from preschool.  This was her teacher for the last two years.  Harper had her for one year.  We LOVE Ms. Pam at our house.

Our family after graduation.  I do fine at graduation until they play those slideshows to sad songs like "I hope you dance" and "Let them be little".  Why do they try to kill us? ha! Will Holden was a wild monkey so I had to keep him busy in the very back pew so that kept me distracted from being too sad.

My parents drove over for the graduation - we were so glad.

Hollis and two of her best friends.  They have been together for a few years in school.  I'm sad they won't see each other every day next year because they will all be at different schools but we go to church together so I'm hoping they will still be tight all through youth group.

Friday Harper had field day.  It rains every year.  Her principal is a friend of mine and her sweet daughter was up helping.  We love her.  She stuck with Harper and it made her so happy.  The principal texted me this picture of our daughters together.  It made my day.

Saturday we had a fun day.  We went to our town's farmer's market and then walked all the way to Crystal Bridges (this amazing museum in our town).  We haven't been to the museum in years (which is unfortunate because it's so neat but it's just hard to take kids) but the girls loved it.

We walked for about 3 hours.  We had plans to hit the splash park in town but it wasn't as warm as I had hoped so we ended up coming home.

Wearing our red, white and blue for church Sunday.  We are so thankful for all the men and women who gave their lives fighting for our freedom.

Love these sisters.

Sunday, Sarah Kate came over and spent the rest of the day and most of Monday with us.  These girls had the best time.  They played and ate and watched movies.  After SK went home, Harper moped around and said "well I'm just heartbroken she's gone".

And then Will Holden started climbing on chairs.  My girls never climbed.  We had to order cabinet locks because he is constantly into everything.  I don't think we really ever locked the cabinets with the girls.  He is keeping me on my toes.

And bless his third child heart.  He started summer MDO today and I realized last night I had a backpack but no lunchbox for him.  And we have about six lunch boxes but they are all monogrammed for the girls.  Sometimes you do what you have to do.  ha!

I did order him a lunchbox last night.   :-)

He had a great day at MDO today.  I have been excited about him going because it gives me a few hours a week to take the girls to do things like swim or movies where wild toddlers are impossible.  And I can also go to appointments or just get a few things done and it's cheaper than sitters.  But I surprised myself by crying once I got to the car.  But he didn't cry! and he ALWAYS cries.  And he was in such a good mood and so happy when he got home and he didn't even nap today.  So I think he liked it!
