Speaking and Sickness

Okay - first of all:  this week's SUYL topic will be Favorite recipe right now! Share your favorite thing you are making right now.  I figure we all need new ideas! I will try to have a schedule up on the side by Friday.

It's been a little busy around here lately.

Mostly because of this little bruiser.  He's not walking yet but he's trying.  He spends all day pulling up and trying to get around.  He's also gained 2.5 lbs in the last month.  Let's just say he likes to eat and he's growing like a weed!

Also we have all been sick again.  We were lucky to not have hardly any sickness in years but the last month has been a little rough.  This time around it's just cold/sinus/virus stuff so way better than the stomach plague but we are all ready to feel healthy!!! I took all 3 kids to the doctor Monday which is always fun.  Harper missed four days of school.  I'm hoping we will be better by this weekend because we are celebrating two birthdays!

Last weekend I headed down to Little Rock with several friends to attend Inspire.  This is a conference for all the women of Arkansas.  We met up Friday night and ate at the Macaroni Grill before heading to our hotel.

Saturday was the conference.  I did a breakout session on using Social Media in life and in ministry.  I spoke on how social media can be an incredible tool for encouragement, ministry and sharing the gospel.  Our main speaker was Rachel Lovingood from Tennessee.  She was amazing! We had a lot of very impactful breakouts to attend.  I heard they were all good.

The highlight for me was getting to see my friend Hillary who lives in Little Rock and came to spend the day with me and Laurie.

My friend Jennifer was there too and I was glad to see her. Of course she just lives 30 minutes from me but we don't see each other very often so meeting in Little Rock was what we had to do.

After the conference we headed home.  We stopped in Conway to eat and one of my very best friends and college roommates was there with her family.  I think we both squealed and jumped! It made my weekend to get to run into her.  She is the sweetest person you will ever meet!

Scott had the kids over the weekend and they were all sick.  We stayed home Sunday so we didn't spread our germs at church.  Harper took a four hour nap which means she REALLY didn't feel good.

Today I officially got Hollis registered for kindergarten.  She is so excited! I can't believe this day has come so quickly!!!!
