Fall Reading

I thought I would share a few books that some of my friends have recently written that I thought might make great fall reading for you or your kids.  It's a great time to curl up with a book by the fire, right? Or these would make great Christmas presents also!

First for the kids:

"God Made Light" by my friend Jessica's husband Matthew Paul Turner.  This is the sweetest book with a Godly encouraging message.  My girls absolutely loved it and I teared up reading it.

They also have a neat floor puzzle and a night light and encouraging notes at Dayspring all to go with the book.  Click on the picture above to go there!

If you have girls..... (or boys) - run and get this amazing Story Book Bible by my friend Angie Smith.  This is a BEAUTIFUL well done collection on the women in the Bible.  I've never been so proud of anything Angie has done.  It's AMAZING!  "For Such a Time as This".

My friend Ann Voskamp has done an amazing thing for you and your family for the Christmas season.  This book is an heirloom for your family to celebrate the Advent season together.  It is a devotion book and something I think your family will treasure as you celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.  "Unwrapping the Greatest Gift".

"Move On - When Mercy Meets your Mess" by Vicki Courtney.  Vicky is one of my favorite writers because she just gives every day practical advice and application.  I love reading her books.  And this is her newest.  If you are dealing with struggles in your life (approval, shame, etc) - she talks about how God's mercy meets us right in the middle of all that.  This is great for every woman in your life.

I've mentioned this before but Courtney is one of my good friends and I love her heart for the family and motherhood.  She has written a book all about instilling virtues and laughter in your home! It's such an inspiration to me on the tone I want to set in my home.  This is a passion of Courtney's and it's shining through.  Every mom or mom-to-be should read this.  "In this House We will Giggle".

MAN - I have some talented friends.  I love to share their works with you! I hope you will enjoy!
