Fifteen Months

Harper I can hardly believe you are already 15 months old!

What are you up to these days?

You weigh 27 pounds, wear a size 4 diaper, size 18 month clothes, and a size 5 shoe.
You are walking everywhere and are into EVERYTHING. You keep me on my toes and I am worn out every night. I feel like I spend the majority of my day saying "no Harper" because you like to get into the things you shouldn't. ha!

One of your favorite things is to get in Dawson's water bowl. I keep it in the laundry room with the door shut but you manage to open the door and get in there at least 10 times a day. I'm trying to think of alternatives but poor Dawson needs water.
You love for us to follow you and chase you and you love for us to pick you up and swing you. You just giggle when we do that.

I think your very favorite toy is my wallet. You constantly get it out of my bag and open it. You also love to get my phone and pretend to talk on it. You always turn it and hold it just right and you will laugh and talk. This week you took your fingers and scrolled the screen as if you were reading e-mail. It was a big reminder to me that "little eyes are watching everything I do".

You also LOVE to go into rooms and shut the door. And don't want to let me in. Oh dear!
You LOVE being outside. You like to go in the backyard and just explore and walk all over.

You love puzzles. You don't know exactly how to work them just yet but you love to take the pieces out and look at them. We have lots of puzzles - especially animal puzzles.

You also love books. And you have a lot of them.

I'm pretty sure your favorite meal is Chick-fil-a. :-)

You are a pretty happy baby but you NEVER wake up happy ever! You wake up crying and screaming every morning and from every nap. I guess you just always wake up on the wrong side of the crib.

You are a strong willed child - that is for sure. Nothing about you is easy going and never has been. You have begun to throw a lot of fits and sometimes I just have to laugh. Especially when you lay on the floor and thrash around. You are a HUGE drama queen and the tears flow and the bottom lip sticks out many times a day when you don't get your way. I forsee another 20 years of this in my future. ha! As hard as it may be right now - I'm secretly glad you are strong willed and I hope you stay that way - especially against peer pressure you will face. Be confident in who you are!

I just think about you and smile. You are the greatest thing that ever happened to me and when you smile at me or raise your arms up for me or pat me on the arm or hold my hand - I wouldn't trade that for a bazillion dollars. You are a priceless treasure!
