Ornaments

Here is a cute idea for homemade ornaments. I made these and gave them out as hostess gifts for my baby shower for Harper.

I also made them for us and for gifts. They are fun to make and easy and pretty cheap to do. Just get the clear ornaments - they come in all sizes at places like Hobby Lobby. Then fill them with shredded paper ( you can find this in the wrapping section of most stores). I found 3 cute ribbons and tied them at the top and then put a sticker on the outside for the monogram. Super easy and I think they are fun. You could do them in any color!

I made some for my big tree in browns and leopards! I love how they turned out!

What a great idea! I used clear Christmas ornaments a few years ago to make hand-made ornaments, but I've been running out of ideas! (Hand-made ornaments are a tradition in our family too.) So cute! I will definitely be trying this one out! :)

So cute!

You can also get paint (crayola washable) or some kind of glitter paint and place a special little first Christmas handprint on. Mommy and Grandmas will treasure.

I was just in Michael's two days ago and I saw the clear ornaments and remembered how you'd done these ornaments! I think they're adorable! I'm thinking of making some soon!

Cute Idea! I definitely will be trying some this year! I love your trees, especially Harper's its so sweet!

Also, I just had a quick question. Can you tell me where you got the decorating mess for your trees or the name of it? I've been looking everywhere, and can't seem to find it.

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful Christmas decor! I love it!

I made something like that for gifts a couple years ago! Except, I painted polkadots with a round sponge brush and painted the letter! They were a BIG hit :) I actually think I am going to do some more this year with crosses on them for the various ornament exchanges I am doing!!

And I forgot, if you paint them, be sure to get the glass paint and bake it according to directions, otherwise it will chip off in storage!!

Those are just too stinking cute!!! Love Hobby Lobby! I made some amazing cookies today for a swap that I bet you would love and would probably be perfect for your next Bunco get together.

Those are so cute, and it 's nice to find out they're so simple! I don't have a Hobby Lobby close, but I'm wondering if Dollar Store might have them. I'll have to check next time I'm there.

Oh Kel, I loooooove these! The leopard print idea is ADORABLE! I just posted pics on my blog of the cutest lil leopard print Carter's dress that my 11 month old wore on Thanksgiving. Be still my heart, I love an animal print!

I think that these are definitely being added to my 3 year old daughter's cookie treat boxes that she's making up for her friends and our relatives. You're so clever! Thanks for sharin', mama!

Happy weekend!

I had actually seen some just like these at a Christmas show that I went to with a friend. They charged $10 each. My friend and I decided to make them ourselves. (Along with a really cute wreath.) Monday is our craft day. Hope ours turn out as cute as yours.

I am SO loving all the animal print mixed with the Christmas!! I want some leopard print ornaments to put with all my red and gold decor!

I saw these last night on your blog and LOVED the idea! I am in the process of making some now for our dining room tree!
The last few years, I have gotten these balls and painted the inside (which was WORK) and then did an initial on the outside, but I love yours better! :o) Can't wait to get them finished!

I do these ornaments as well but a little differently. I order the vinyl decals from a lady on Etsy, she gives you a letter and polka dots in whatever color you want. Then I get the semi-flat ornaments from Michaels or wherever. The letters and polka dots are too cute!! These make great gifts for teachers, etc!

Hi Kelly, I have been reading you since shortly after Harper was born. You are in my top three fave blogs (in no order, lol). My mom went today to meet the family of she and my dad's doctor. She is going to start cleaning their house. They only have one child, a one year old girl named....Harper!

I also wanted to share with you that tomorrow morning I am reaffirming my faith in my denomination of church and being accepted into a congregation. My mom is also transferring. We will be going to a small country church between where we live now and our hometown. We do have history there as my great grandparents were the first couple to be married in the congregation!

I am so glad that I saw these! My mother had bought me some clear ball ornaments a few years ago for me to decorate, and I could never think of what to do with them...I made some of these for my co-workers! The girls loved them!! I filled mine with red shredded paper and used black and white gingham ribbon to tie in bows for the top, and I found some black letter stickers at walmart! They turned out precious!

I love ur idea... We are still in the process of completing our tree. This is our first tree in Canada, we are a new immigrant and am quite homesick because our Christmas in the Philippines is quite festive. We wanted to make our Christmas here just as special esp since we are expecting our 2nd baby anytime soonn:)
