I HEART Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving might very well be my favorite holiday. What is there not to love: family, LOTS and LOTS of food, and football! (all my favorite "F"'s!)
We got up early this morning and drove to my parents. My brother Chris and SIL Carrie got here last night. I was so glad for Harper to get to see her aunt and uncle!

They brought their new pug Coco Chanel. Harper is pretty enamored with her.
My Aunt Linda gave me and Carrie new Buddha Bag purses. We loved them. She gave me a Python one last year and I have carried it all year. My Aunt Linda has great style.
Harper with my Aunt Linda and Uncle Bob
Chris and I - do you think we look alike? I'm 2 years older.
Coco sporting the new scarf we bought her!
What I'm most thankful for this year
I have been waiting for MONTHS for Harper to wear this turkey dress!!!
Harper got a lot of attention from her Poppa
My mom worked so hard and cooked an INCREDIBLE meal. She made SO much food and we all ate until we were just stuffed. I'm so thankful for my mom. She even made some roasted brussel sprouts - something I have never eaten or wanted to eat and they were so yummy! I think that I might become obsessed with brussel sprouts.
My little turkey

We are settled in watching the A&M/Texas game. My brother and SIL are UT grads. So the rest of us are choosing to cheer for the aggies. Just for kicks. My mom just made us all homemade Caramel Apple Spice drinks.
If you want to make them - just heat up apple cider and get a bottle of Cinnamon Dolce flavoring from Starbucks (a large bottle will last you a while) and add a few tablespoons. Top with whip cream and caramel ice cream topping. SO YUM!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

What a wonderful holiday! Makes me wish we could celebrate Thanksgiving Downunder! (In Australia)

Your family is very similar to mine , Kelly. I'm a bit older than you, but both my parents are still living, never divorced, and I'm the older of 2 children, with a brother 2 years younger. Sadly he's not walking with the Lord at the moment.

Yum yum, This year my In-laws hosted so I didn't have to do too much. I made green bean casserole, fruit salad, cheese cake and a relish tray. We had the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green salad and lots more... and of course pumpkin pie!

Hi Kelly...Happy Thanksgiving!

It looks like a good time was had by all.

Harper was so cute in her outfit, and it looks like she got lots of love and attention. Especially from her Poppa. (:>)

You and your brother do look quite a bit alike and he looks like a nice guy.

I like your ruffles,...and you always look cute...just like Harper.

Your momma's kitchen looks huge. I think she is a sweetheart to cook for you all.

We had a nice restful day because we did our Thanksgiving meal with the family on Saturday.

Tonight we went to a movie. We bought tickets for Blindside, but there weren't any seats left so we saw Old Dogs instead. it was so funny. But now we will go back tomorrow to see Blindside, cuz I really want to see it since everyone says it is a great movie.

All for now.

Love, love, love Brussels sprouts - and if you would have told me 20 years ago that I'd love them one day, I would have never believed you.

(though, now I do eat them either creamed, or with pancetta, and my mom CERTAINLY didn't prepare them that way when I was a little girl)

So are roasted Brussel sprouts the new "it" food? MckMama had them for Thanksgiving, too! I'm so behind on the latest food trends!

Such adorable pics! Love that "crooked" smile of Harper's! That dress is adorable, too. It was a better game last night that even the Aggies had hoped.

Hope you had a great holiday...so glad you can be with family! Thanks for posting pics of Harper! :)

Being from Oklahoma I'm not a big fan of UT. :)
I was for the Aggies all the way and they played very well. They came close to winning.

I don't think you and your brother look alike, really.

Your little Harper looks adorable as usual. Love the turkey dress.

Glad y'all had a wonderful day with your family.

I'm too tired to look through your comments to see if someone asked you to post your Mom's recipe for roasted brussel sprouts ~ but I, for one, would love it! My favorite food is steamed broccoli, with only salt and pepper on it. But, I do not like brussel sprouts! I did try one little sprout at a Christmas party last year, and it was actually ok. So, I am thinking maybe your Mom has the magic roasting formula. Thanks in advance! L.

Beautiful, beautiful Thanksgiving pictures. Harper is just such a doll in her festive attire!

I know you are one busy mama, but I actually have a purse question for you. I'd never heard of Buddha Bags until your blog and LOVE them. I have an almost 2 young children and another on the way and have carried different diaper bags for the past 4.5 years. I would love to use something on a daily basis that is more stylish, but can never find a purse that works well for all the baby/kid things I have to tote around. Is there any way you could share what purse you've been using with Harper? I have no doubt it's super cute as well as functional. I'd greatly appreciate it!
