my husband is taking my two older kids to a west point game today, and i will be staying home with my 16-month old, only because last week's game "kind of" sent him over the edge...or maybe it was me that got sent over the edge! ;o)

I love your blog, and Harper is the most precious thing ever. I know you said not to ask questions in the comments, but I can't find where I can email you! As a fellow mother of a child (in my case, twins) with multiple food allergies, I couldn't help but recognize the "allergy look" and possibly a couple of hives beside Harper's mouth. I was just curious how things are since you've embarked on your food allergy walk. It can be a tough road. Hopefully Harper will outgrow them, lots of kids do. My girls are 8 so they obviously haven't, but we also didn't find out what was going on until they were about 15 months old and I actually fed them an allergen. We are also allergic to egg and peanut like Harper. My girls are allergic to mustard as well, but have outgrown soy and corn, thank goodness. If you haven't gone to www.kidswithfoodallergies.org, please do, it is a valuable resource!

Ok Kelly, so I am from Phoenix and we don't know what the HOGS are... YIKES... I know. During Owen's first open heart surgery, he was given a red bull beanie baby (to cuddle). During his 2nd open heart surgery, he got another. He now has 8 and he loves on those "snorts" every second of the day and sleeps with them. Almost every picture on our blog includes Owen's red bull. The problem is.. we have NO idea if it is a pig or a bull or why TY Beanie Baby company would make a red pig/bull thingy.

Moral of the story...
I think you just answered all our questions. It's probably a HOG!!! I guess that means Owen is a fan of the HOGS too.

Kelly,
I hate to admit I'm a "lurker", but I've read your blog since Harper was born. She's such a cutie! I just had to post tonight though to tell you about the coolest thing that happened to me today that I knew you would appreciate. :) First of all, I'm from Waco and really thought your post about being "stuck in Waco" was great, esp. when you ran into David Crowder. (HUGE fan of his too and love that he leads worship here locally every week that he can). Anyway, I'm at Walmart today (yes, I'm a Walmart girl!)and it's SO busy of course on a Sat, so I'm searching for a short checkout line.. yeah right! Anyway, I get behind this man and woman whom I barely glanced at until I saw THE BEARD!!! I was standing in line behind David Crowder (and his beautiful wife) at WAL-MART!!!! I started shaking so bad and had to gain my composure. Then I texted my husband and he texted back "TALK TO HIM". So I finally said, "David Crowder.. I'm such a huge fan!" and he was so nice to shake my hand, ask my name, and thank me for being a fan. Then he went on his way (I was SO mad at myself for not taking a pic w/ my phone). I then told the cashier that she just checked out DAVID CROWDER. She said, "Who?". :) I of course told her to go buy his CD because he was such a good musician and she had me write his name on a piece of paper. It was so funny! I don't even remember paying I was so excited. Maybe this meeting was meant just for that cashier to hear his music and about the Lord. Anyway, just had to share with a fellow Walmart/Crowder fan (can you believe he actually shops at Walmart?!) Thanks again for having such a wonderful blog. You're doing great as a mom... coming from a mom of 3 little boys over here!
(Oh, and I think he was headed to the Baylor game. A BIG 12 fan, I'm sure ;))
GO BEARS!!

Kelly,

I just love your blog. I found you through my old friend Melissa, your neighbor! My daughter is only a few months older than Harper and it's been fun to watch her grow up. I just wanted to tell you that I think you are a wonderful mother and also, this may not be an issue for you anymore but it will get better with the sleeping through the night. My daughter was an awful sleeper at first and it really took until her first birthday for her to really start sleeping a whole night. I just had to tell you that because I used to get so sick of hearing how everyone else's babies slept through the night at three months or whatever. :)

Anyway, thanks for making me smile everyday! Say hi to Melissa for me. :)
