Easter bonnet

Harper's all dressed up in her Easter Bonnet for you today!
Isn't it so cute????

Today Jesus is my provider. I went to a little Christian school in 6th grade and in chapel we would sing a song about "Jehovah Jirah - my provider" and I have never gotten that song out of my head. Probably because God always wanted me to remember that he is my provider. He has ALWAYS provided my needs. I will never be rich and I'm more than fine with that - but God has taken care of me. The verse I love and that has been so true for my family is Malachi 3:10. "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows."

Today's song is Chris Tomlin (and my personal American Idol Christy Nockels) singing Hillsong's "Fire Fall Down". I just love this song! It's just a total "God - I'm seeking you with all I have" song.

Please keep Angie and Todd Smith in your prayers today. Today is Audrey's birthday. One year ago they met and lost their precious daughter. Angie has been such an inspiration to me and even a friend. I admire her faith so much and I pray God blesses their family abundantly.

Thanks so much for the reminders of what Jesus is to us. My friends are going through a VERY difficult time with their 4 yr. old in PICU with heart and bleeding problems and have almost lost her 2 times just in the last week. Your reminders are so timely.

And yes, OF COURSE Harper is TOO CUTE in that bonnet! LOVE IT! I'm already looking forward to seeing her Easter dress for her church debut, too! :)

Have a great day and thanks again.

Harper looks so adorable as usual! I love that song. I never know the names of songs that we sing in church. We sing them and I think, "I love that song, I wish I had it on CD" but I never know what it is called. When I started listening to this I was so happy to know that it is one of the songs we sing at church. Now I know the name and can go buy the CD! Ha! Thanks for keeping me in the loop! I really like it when you post about Christian music. It is so fun to listen to and makes me feel so joyful!

I also had infertility issues...so I can relate. I do have a son and a daughter and I thank God for them everyday. Now I just need grandkids.....

Harper is looking beautiful as always. I love the hats and bows. I look back at all my girls baby pictures and I don't think I have any that didn't have a bow or a hat. You will love all these pictures as she grows up.

His birthday this year is on the Monday after Easter and he was born on Good Friday, It was a scheduled c-section and everyone was like stay away from "friday the 13th" my answer was why its Good Friday and it will always be a good friday to me as I have a fourth gift from God not counting salvation. Please keep up your blog it is great if you have time check mine out I am not as creative as you but I enjoy it. danielsfive.blogspot.com

Harper is adorable!
I enjoyed reading your Focus on the Family related interview. I too didn't get married until my early 30's, and although I didn't have typical infertility problems as such, I did find out post-marriage that I had major problems with my uterus. I've had a couple of C-Sections and major surgery, but now, at the age of 41, I have the 4 children we prayed for. God is soooo good. Harper is a tremendous testimony to the grace of God.
BTW we got to visit Hillsong in Sydney once when our eldest was a baby. We actually got to meet Brian Houston, and found him to be a genuine and humble man.

I must tell you something funny about that song "Jehovah Jirah - my provider". We used to sing it at church too here in Australia. My daughter was about 5 at the time and she thought the correct words for that song were "Jehovah Jirah - my provider, you do the dishes for me, for me, for me"! Of course we know it was supposed to be "Jehovah Jirah - my provider, your grace is sufficent for me, for me, for me". After we stopped laughing, it was a wonderful opportunity to explain to her the real meaning of that song, that God's grace is always sufficient for us". Brace yourself for the years ahead, I'm sure your sweet little Harper will say lots of funny things too that will crack you right up!
