2 quick things

I'll Have a Good Friday post up later but I need to tell you 2 things:

  • I read an e-mail in the middle of the night last night and I can't stop thinking about it. There is a family who lost their 8 month old in Sept to a seizure. 6 weeks later they got pregnant again which is a blessing. Tuesday the husband had a grand mal seizure and as they examined him - they found a large brain tumor. They are doing surgery to remove it today. Can you please pray??? I just think of this wife/mom.......8 months pregnant - uncomfortable and hormonal - she has lost a child and now her husband has a brain tumor. http://www.andyandcari.blogspot.com/
  • Remember to sign up by noon if you would like to win a great book on having children or a precious outfit for a child. Go here to leave a comment and enter.
  • Also this is my LEAST favorite time of year - tornado season. I HATE the storms and we in AR and OK get a LOT (I know a ton of other states do too). Last night a tornado devastated a little town in Arkansas called Mena. Pray for those who lost their homes or businesses. It's amazing how in a blink of an eye - you can lose everything.

Hi Kelly,

I have read your blog daily since just after Harper was born, but have only commented once before. I will keep this family in my prayers.

Harper is beautiful. Enjoy every minute with her;-) I know you do! The time flies. My own daughters are in the teens and tweens now. Still a special time;-) I'm so thankful that I have been able to be home with them and enjoy every stage.

Have a Blessed Easter!

This news just breaks my heart - I can not imagine going through something like this after losing a child and being pregnant. I will make sure to pray for them.

Kelly, I know that you are a strong woman and have such strong faith but I know that all of these prayer requests that you get everyday is a lot to handle. Sometimes I wish I could just give you a hug because you have already been through so much...and people put a lot on your shoulders everyday. You are such a strong woman!

Wow, what a sad story. I will say some extra prayers for them.

I tried entering the contest, but it's only showing half the comment section, and it won't let me post :( Darn.

Got on my knees to pray for them! Now I'm headed to their blog. This immediately went straight to my heart and made me hurt for them! I can not believe this! Any time I hear of someone dealing with siezures, it's gets me! One of my children, who is mentally disabled, has been dealing with seizures for almost nine years. In the past few years, they have become more frequent. He goes maybe two weeks without a seizure and then when he does have them, it's usually about 5 or more in a day. Thank you for always passing along prayer requests for families! What a blessing you have become to so many of your readers! GOD BLESS YOU KELLY!

Yes, Kelly, thank you for mentioning Mena. Jonnie and I are both from there (as well as many of your other readers), and we are all saddened to see our little town so torn up!

Hi I read your blog everyday! My sister lives in Mena and her husband is the FBC youth minister. Their church was damaged and many have lost their homes. If you read this blog please pray for their town.
Thanks Kelly!

Tornados are devastating to anyone who has seen them or been close to them. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victums.

Also, will pray for the family who the husband has a brain tumor. Hopefully they will be able to get it all and he will be okay.

And I HATE storms too. Those that were with you are coming here tonight (NC).

Hi Kelly. My sister, Kori, and I are from Mena also. We went there on Friday and we were speechless about what we saw. I have put a slideshow on my blog that has a million pictures of the devastation. I just want people to know how truly bad it was, and how much they need our prayers and assistance.

Hope you had a Happy Easter.
