There's no place like home!

I'm coming to you live from our home in Arkansas!!!!! Praise the LORD!
This is Harper's doctor - Dr. Gomez. He is AMAZING! Seriously - he saved her life (with a little help from the GREAT PHYSICIAN!) He was the best doctor a family could ever wish for - God sent us to him - I have no doubt!

As soon as we got the word "go" - we gave Harper a bath and fancied her up. This is her in little slip - look how she is smiling - she knows when she looks good!
Do you have any idea how much I LOVE having a girl??????
I love this picture!
Our family of three - ready to start our new life together!
Harper and her Nonny
My mam-ma (who Harper's middle name is named after) made me this cape and I came home from the hospital in it and we put Harper in it today. It was special to have something my mam-ma had made to pass on to my sweet girl.
Harper is saying "step on it" ...... "I'm ready to see my room"
(all you Texas girls quit getting excited - Harper IS NOT doing the hook em horns sign - although it looks a lot like it - we'll have to have a heart to heart talk). ha!

We got home tonight around 6 and I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to be home. I can't wait until tomorrow when I can get up and stay in my pj's and not worry about nurses and doctors coming in and out of our room at all hours of the day. I feel like I can finally relax. We are ready to start our new life.
GOD IS GOOD!

I just wanted to leave a comment and say that I am so happy you were able to take your gorgeous girl home today! I know we have never met and don't know each other at all, but I somehow stumbled unto your blog when Harper was first born and have been following it since because I am a NICU nurse myself and it is so wonderful to see a baby do so well. So, again, congrats and enjoy that beautiful baby girl, I have no doubt you will. God bless you all.

I kind of think Harper is going "ick...longhorns"!

Although my best friend was an E at Ouachita (I call it a little bitty Baylor), this Arkansas (now Texas) girl went to Baylor and thinks with all Harper's bows she will fit in quite nicely as a "Baylor bowhead". Just sounds better than an "E bowhead"....don't ya think? :)

So glad she is home.

Oh Kelly I'm so happy that you're finally home. Harper is adorable all dressed up and ready for her ride home. I was sitting here with tears streaming down my face yelling for my husband to come look how precious she is and how she is going home today. He also said looks like she's got the 'rock on' fingers. "Step on it" too cute. Still praying everything continues to go well. Enjoy your PJ day. I'm so happy for you.

I had to comment again after reading more comments...( does that make sense?)...My husband always says he can never tell who a baby looks like but every time he sees your postings of Harper pics he says " that baby looks just like her daddy" I find that so odd because I think she looks like YOU and your brother Chris. We don't even know you but we get so tickled looking at the pictures. We've been married ( will be) 20 yrs in April and after many years of unsuccessufl fertility treatments its just the two of us and we're "okay" with that now. But, we love to hear happy endings and are so happy for you. Please post soon and tell us who you think she looks like.....

Psalms 46:1-5 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

Welcome home Harper! What a beautiful coming-home outfit, and I love the cape that your Mam-ma made for you that she wore. I know you will..but cherish every single second...cherish every minute you are up with her at night and you are *so tired and don't think you can make it...the time we have with our children being with us is SO short...'poof'..you'll be sitting there watching her graduate from HS and wonder where the years went! Oh..and I love her shoe-socks! TOO cute! (I'm a mom of sons. haha)

I've been praying from Tennesee that you'd have this day. I know you're tickled pink! This has been a good reminder to take nothing for granted. I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my third little girl. After two healty girls and making past the "danger zone" I sometimes forget that anything can happen.
God is good.
