Lazy Summer

We had one of those wonderful weekends that are great to experience - but boring to blog about. After a crazy busy week - I needed a lot of downtime and I got it.

Friday night - I was worn completely out. We ordered Pizza Hut and hung out in our pj's. The poor little pizza guy could NOT find our house. He called me no less than 6 times. (We only live probably 4 or 5 miles from PH). I was in bed by about 7:30.

We did a lot of THIS this weekend - cuddling in bed with our favorite furry animal! I love those two boys in that picture!
Saturday I worked in my yard pulling weeds for about 3 hours - yes, it was THAT bad. UGH! But then I got a reward because I went and had a pedicure. Scott got me a gift certificate to a local spa for my birthday and I've been saving it but finally decided I would just get several pedicures over the summer because I have TERRIBLE feet and I need all the help I can get.
The rest of our Saturday was spent with Scott doing yard work and fixing things around the house and me watching the Army Wives marathon on Lifetime (really like that show). Then we got Outback to go. That's one of our favorite things to do. We actually like Outback better when it's to go then when it's in the restaurant - plus it's cheaper - no tips, paying for drinks, etc.
Today was church and then we took Dawson to the "park". It's really a trail but we call it the park and Dawson goes nuts when he thinks he gets to go. There are always a ton of people and dogs there and he is just in DOG heaven. (Please ignore those hideous green shorts - I really need more summer casual clothes)
Only - he is out of shape like his parents so after about a 1/2 mile - he usually collapses in the grass and we have to carry him. Pitiful.
Half way is a creek and Dawson likes to get a drink and get in the cool water and he is usually able to make it the rest of the way. We always try to make him swim but he doesn't love it. Then he comes home and Scott bathes him and he crashes for the night.

I hope you all had a good weekend!!!!!!

Your weekend sounds perfect to me! There is nothing better than ordering in food and hanging out with your man.
Who doesn't love a pedicure?! I got one a couple weeks ago and loved it!! My feet always feel so much better!
That Dawson is just about the cutest thing I ever seen. I love that you try to make him swim :)

Okay Kelly, I think we are television twins - Gilmore Girls, Bachelor(ette), and Army Wives (some would say it doesn't take much for someone to be my television twin since I watch so many things) but I do love those three shows!

Glad y'all had a great weekend! I am sure it was so good to relax and just chill out. And I am right there with you on watching the Army Wives marathon--I love that show. Heatstrings offically get pulled with that one.

Loved seeing the pics of ya'll at the park! Too fun. And I think you are just as cute as can be in those green shorts. Girl, you could wear a garbage bag and look adorable! :)

Ella LOVED seeing the pictures of Dawson. She loves dogs!
Thank you for your sweet comment!! :) It is harder than I thought it would be! I heard dogs barking last night and started bawling because I will never hear him bark again! :0

I think I'll bring THE BOYS(Dawson's country cousins) up for a walk in your little park! They would love a little swim and then Scott could give them a bath and then we would go home! How's that??

Or maybe we would stay over and go to Outback!! har

So cute to see Dawson swimming! When we try to get our shih-tzu to go in water she steps one foot in, and then looks at us over her shoulder as if to say , "You have got to be kidding me." :-)
Looks like a great weekend!

Hi, Kelly!

We love to get Outback to go too. It's so nice to eat it at home!

I found your front door wreath post inspiring and made a wreath for my front door as well. I referenced you in my post and wanted to tell you thank you for sharing your beautiful wreath. I love little crafts!

Your probably wondering, who is this girl??? I found your page from Faith's and have been checking your blog and keeping you in my prayers. I too am trying to conceive and would love nothing more than to be a mom. Hang in there!

Sounds like you guys had a wonderful weekend. Dawson is too cute! My husband and I LOVE to do Outback-To-Go, also. We usually always split the large Outback Special with Chopped Salad and Baked Potato. We actually did Outback-To-Go for Mother's day this year for the whole family! It was so much better than having to spend my day in the kitchen or waiting in line at a restaurant! Plus, like you said, it's cheaper! Hope you've caught up on such much-needed rest - we all need weekends like that from time to time! Even Dawson!
