Everything is better when it's shared!

So I have to share with ya'll a cool story.

This is my friend Jenna. Jenna and I attend the same church and we just got to know each other back at the end of March. A few of our mutual friends wanted us to meet because we had been through the same thing. She and her husband had been trying for a few years, had tried fertility options for a year, she had miscarried once and they had recently been told they would have to do In Vitro. So we met for lunch and I told her how we had just planned a trip to hawaii to get away and relax so we could take a break and she said "well - we are going to hawaii a week after you!" It was nice to have a friend in real life who understood.
So we didn't talk for almost a month because we were gone and then they were gone and then I hated to call her because I didn't want to upset her with my news. So I kept putting off calling her. And then a week or so ago, my friend Rachel (who was one of the only people I had shared my news with) called and said " Guess what? Jenna just called and she is pregnant too. But she wants to know what she should do because she doesn't want to call you and upset you with her news." ha! God is funny!
So I called her and told her that we were BOTH pregnant! We both found out we were pregnant before we left for Hawaii!!! We are due 5 days apart!!!! It's so fun to have someone to go through this with. I just thought that was really amazing. And God had put it on Jenna's heart to pray for me for almost a year before she even knew what my name was. And I had been praying for her for a while even though I only knew her by name because I knew she had been going through infertility.
So I got to cross Jenna off my list of girls I'm praying for to have a baby. I have crossed off 6 names in the last 6 months. It's awesome to see prayers answered and I expect the same for all the rest of the people on my list!!!!

On a totally different note - I've had FOUR of you who live in same area with me e-mail me recently and tell me you have seen me in stores or restaurants and wanted to say hi but didn't. I just want to say that if you EVER see me anywhere - PLEASE say hi!!!!! I wish I could meet everyone in person so I would LOVE to meet you! I promise I won't make you feel crazy!!!

Hi Kelly.
I have been wanting to comment for days on how excited I was to hear your news. I sometimes have trouble leaving a comment. I check in on your blog from time to time and was just thrilled to see your news. I called a friend who has a similar experience as your and is pregnant also, due around the same time as you you and told her Kelly from Kelly's Korner is pregnant! Congratulations!

OMG Kelly, I haven't visited lately so when I came over today, I read your wonderful news! I'm such a sucker, I'm crying too!!! I'm going to go "see" your mama and tell her how happy I am for her as well. Both my kids and their spouses were married 7 years before they had kids. Shannon and Don tried for 2 years and of course we got the twins, who just turned 4, can you believe it? I'm just sitting here weepy and sniffling but I am crying tears of joy....

Only one thing, would you be upset if I sent the baby an Auburn onesie (just joking)!

I'm so happy for you and Scott and can't wait to make this little trip with ya'll.

Love,
Judy

Would you believe the exact same thing happened to me and my close cousin? She and her husband had been trying for years and when my man and I found out we were expecting we kept putting off calling my cousin and her hubby because we just didn't know what to say. Mirya ended up calling me and I had the awesome news of telling her we were BOTH expecting. Our girls are two months apart. It was great!!

Hey, have you signed up on Babycenter.com? It is awesome! I did it with both of mine. You will get an email each week saying "Your baby is now __ weeks and is the size of ___ (an fig, olive, etc.)" It has tons of information on it. I still get them now with information on how to deal with nightmares, potty training, and other things. I loved it!

Kelly,
You are just as cute as can be and I am so glad I found your blog. & Congratulations!

My husband and I too had infertility issues and it is a deep hurt that goes unspoken many times.

One particular Sunday after years of trying and praying and testing, I remember just giving it to the Lord as our congregation sang "Your Grace is Enough." I had to finally tell God (and myself) that if he never chose to give me a child, He had given me is grace, and that was plenty.

My daughter, Landry, will be a year old next month. God is good.

I Samuel 1:27 " I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.

Blessings!

I wish you all the best...I will continue to pray for you all!!

That is the coolest news ever. One of my bff's from our old town is driving to my house right this second so we can spend a fun weekend together. We ended up getting so close because we got to walk through pregnancy together and even be in the hospital at the same time with our babies. Y'all are going to have a blast and you will be even more of a support to each other once those babies get here!
