He is Risen Indeed!

Today I am thinking about Easter. It's snowy and cold outside and I'm ready for spring and warm weather. And when I think spring - I think Easter. I know it's seven weeks away but I found out this week that on Easter - the choir will be sporting these beauties again:

Oh yes - the 1980's Branson Belle costumes. So the good news - I don't have to worry about finding an Easter dress. Not that I really need one or that anyone cares - but it's always fun to have something new to wear on Easter. Easter is about celebrating that our Savior died for us and ROSE AGAIN - but it's also about the cute dresses. :-)
And I was just thinking - I really wish I had a little girl to dress up for Easter. Because I would put her in this precious thing:

Or this!
Or this:
Or this:
Or this:
With a gigantic bow in her hair to match each one!
Just a little spring time dreaming! :-)

Those dresses are so precious! I'm praying that by next Easter you will have a little one to dress up for Easter! I'm sorry you have to wear the no-so-good choir outfits. :-( I love buying a new dress for Easter. That's kind of a tradition in my family, too. Happy Snow Day!

Oh how precious. Dressing little girls is so much fun! I am praying you have a little bunny to dress by this time next year. It is fun to cyber shop! I used to do that a lot before I got pregnant, too. I am looking forward to Spring. It's one of my favorite times of the year!

I actually thought about shopping for an Easter dress the other day, and wondered if it would be cold on Easter. I missed choir this week, so thanks for the heads up...I guess no need to shop... Or rather, we could consider that we have lovely sparkly matching $130 dresses--I like to think of it as the dress that keeps on giving...we wear it over and over and over again for all major holidays. No need to ever buy a holiday dress now. So sad...

Love the dresses! My favorite thing to do around Easter was to go and pick out an Easter dress and new shoes.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who does this! I look at baby clothes on-line all of the time. Usually girl clothes. :) In fact, I just put something about that in my blog!

I love the dresses and can't wait until you have a little girl or boy to dress up cute for Easter. I recognize that first dress from the etsy site I just ordered from. I thought it was so cute too. Fun, fun! :)

My fave is the monogrammed valentine dress with huge white dots on the fushia background.

Those are cute dresses! Your choir dress could be worse. It could be fuschia or teal. Ick.

Congrats on your snow! = )

What beautiful little dresses! I'm still praying for you, but promise if you have a baby boy, that you won't stick him in one of those dresses!!! :)

Well, I admit the choir dress doesn't just scream "welcome spring!", but you look cute in anything!

And those baby clothes are darling. Your kids are going to win "best dressed" for sure! Easter is early this year--I'm going to assume it will be cold.

oh you so need a baby girl to dress. it's so much fun, but so expensive. dressing my little boy wasn't nearly as much fun but at least i wasn't tempted to buy stuff all the time.

he did wear a lot of razorback things though. still does.

Yes, I have a strong affection for those smocked bishops. My little girls had matching ones for Christmas and they will for Easter as well....and of course, they will be wearing BIG bows.

I pray that by next Easter you will have a precious blessing in your arms!

P.S. We have such the same taste:)

Oh my word, those dresses are adorable! The blue monogrammed one is my all time fave. And, yes, a big bow is a MUST. Too bad the Princess has decided she is too big for hairbows :)

Hi Kelly- I was just going back through your posts trying to get some encouragement and wisdom and I just couldn't help but leave you a new comment on this one! This Easter, you will have a little girl to dress up in these precious dresses. God is so good.
I have been thinking ALOT about what you said and I have really been trying to get to the point where I can be content and praise Him anyway...and stop spending all my time praying and hoping for a baby.
I am sure you had many verses that you used during this time. If you ever have time and feel like it, I would love for you to e-mail those to me!
Thanks for being such a blessing!

I was just browsing your archives and found this sweet post. It is so neat to read what you wrote back then before you were pregnant knowing that you now have a sweet precious girl who you did dress up and put a big bow in her hair :)
