What's on your Ipod?

We had one of our sales guys in today from Florida and he was doing a pitch of a new radio we have that also plays ipods (and does a variety of other things) and he needed an ipod to use during the meeting with the buyer. I gave him mine and he spent the next fifteen minutes making fun of the music I had in it.
For the record - Scott got me this two years ago and I love it but I have never really taken the time to load much into it. I took a few old CD's and loaded them and quit. Scott on the other hand has over 5,000 songs on his so when I need something to walk with - I try to take his.
But I thought for fun - so you can see how random I am - I would shuffle the songs and see what the first 5 or 6 that came up were:

1. Fantasy by Mariah Carey
2. I am Yours by Spur 58
3. Made me Glad by Hillsong
4. Hard to Handle by the Black Crowes
5. Say Goodbye by Dave Matthews
6. Ice Cream by Sarah McLachlan
7. Over my Head by the Fray

So do you have an Ipod - and do you have a lot of random songs too?

Well, I don't have an ipod. But my 9-year-old does, and I've been "borrowing" it while spending time with my bff, the treadmill. She has a lovely mix of High School Musical I and II. But you know what? I think there are some great workout songs on those soundtracks! I need to get her to show me how to put some of my music on there! :)

You would crack up at Derek's ipod. He has everything from the Old Testament to Beyonce' and lots of 70s tunes in between. One day I caught him singing "Bobby Sue" by the Oakridge Boys when he had it on. I couldn't believe it. He loves all kind of music. I don't even have an ipod!

Charlie's parents gave us an ipod for Christmas. I haven't used it yet, but Charlie has. He downloaded the songs we already had on our computer onto the ipod. The songs range from country to rock 'n rock to rap.

Did you just mention "Hard to Handle" by the Black Crowes? Because that is only my FAVORITE SONG EVER.

And does your iPod have any Hanson on it? Because mine totally does.

Hey sweepea! I don't have an ipod but I got my son one for his b'day last July. He was here this past fall and had downloaded Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" just for me! We sat out in his Hummer (his b'day gift to himself!) and listened to it after a ballgame at about 1:00 in the morning! I remember buying him that album many years ago and I loved that song.
Oh, BTW, I found a turquoise necklace similar to yours. I looked at Dillard's but did not find one I liked. I got mine at Penney's ON SALE which is always a good thing. In fact, I think I'll wear it tomorrow to work!
Later - Judy

I saw a segment on one of the morning shows that said the more random the songs on your ipod the better. Especially at a dinner party..makes for great conversation!! Mine is very random:Justin Timberlake, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Kenny Rogers, etc...

I had to laugh b/c although I do have an iPod my 12 year old son does all the uploading! I do know how to buy songs though! LOL

I have a wide variety.......Joel Osteen podcasts, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Pussycat Dolls, Carrie Underwood, Jewel, James Taylor, etc.

I also have movies (Sweet Home Alabama, Santa Claus 3) and several TV shows (Desperate Housewives--maybe 6 shows?).

I love to take my iPod to gymnastics and dance classes so that when my daughter is doing her thing I can watch a movie or a show or listen to some music. :o)

I'd love to hear about some new songs.

Yes, my ipod is full of 90's Country Music, Celine Dion and Kelly Clarkson. I would probably be embarrassed to present in front of people I worked with!!!

Boomama totally just commented on your blog!!!

Anyway, mine is Dave, Dave, and more Dave, since Guy loaded all my music on it. Once a while there's a random David Crowder band (also a Dave), but mainly DMB Dave.

Hi, I'm also an OBU grad. I've seen your comments at Mer's and on Beth's (don't you just love her!).

My family lives in Benton County but I'm all the way in Rhode Island. Maybe some day we'll move back.

Anyway. Hope you get some real snow soon. = )

Yes, as a matter of fact...my husband and I both have an ipod. Since we sync them up to the same computer, his stuff (including the Bible) gets on mine everyonce in a while. There's nothing like getting in the groove while on the treadmill at the gym and then hearing...(please think of this in a very deep voice) "John chapter 3..."

Oh yes, I now have an Ipod...because Jon needed the newest, most high-tech model, and I inherited his old one. Whenever he comes home with, "I bought you something," and "something" is in a Best Buy bag, it usually means he has something new and I get the old something!

I am totally schizo according to my Ipod. Example: Kanye West, Sarah McLachlan (love Ice Cream!), James Taylor, Bob Marley, Dixie Chicks, several praise and worship songs, Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, old school Madonna, Bon Jovi...it's ridiculous. Jon says I have so much "gangsta rap" one would think I'm the most thugged-out homey this side of Compton. I say I just like my music with a little flava, baby! :)

WEll, first of all, shame on Mr. Man for making fun of your music on your ipod. Tacky, tacky, tacky!

And, I just got a new one for Christmas and have complete hudge podge random music all over mine!
By choice too.

I have some Keith Urban, Sugarland and Bon Jovi, Tim McGraw, tons of Travis Cottrell, Casting Crowns, David Crowder Band, and then some souljaboy that my oldest wanted on there! How funny is that. The words are fine for him....I listened. Y'all don't roll your eyes at me! :) Just kidding.

Obviously, I have tons of randomness. Don't feel bad about your ipod. make your hubby load you up on some new stuff! :)

Good luck!

I just got an iPod for Christmas...how sad is that? But....I'm totally a random song person. I have anywhere from Aerosmith and Journey to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera!! HA!! I love all the fun pop songs but I'm also a big fan of 80's "big hair" bands! I should have been a teenager in the 80s!!!
