Shoes do a heart good

Yesterday, my friend Julie went to a store in town and got all kinds of Christmas goodies 75% off. So today at lunch I rushed over to see what I could find but sadly they were wiped out. But I didn't leave empty handed. Oh no - I came out with these!

The Bottoms
I don't have any good news yet - but positive thinking made me hope that by Christmas we might have a baby that could wear these. They cost me $4. So if we don't have a baby by Christmas - surely I can find someone who will and give these to them.
Oh and they play "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer". Really - could you resist such cuteness?

Kelly,

Thanks for your comments!
We think we will adopt domestically. We went to an adoption workshop a year and a half ago, right after we learned that we would not likely be able to conceive. They made a point there of telling us not to adopt because we had a hole in our hearts, or because we felt it was the right thing to do, but because God called us to it. Well, at that point, we had a BIG hole in our hearts, so we just stored the info away and went about life, praying for God to direct us. Fast forward a year, and we have had time for God to heal our disappointments and have both felt Him heavily impressing us to adopt. We hadn't wanted to move forward until we knew He'd called us both to it, and just 2 weeks ago, we knew we were both there. So we're just starting to research it.

I will be praying for you and your husband. God does all things well. I will be praying that He will allow you the thrill and joy of a pregnancy. *Romans 5:4-5

OH! Harper Jane had those shoes for her first Christmas and they are PRECIOUS! Mary Margaret loved that they played Rudolph. My dear friend (and college roomie) surprised me with these shoes. I have a picture of Harper Jane wearing them in my December posts. TOO CUTE!

And yes, praying that you have a little bundle by Christmas!

Kelly, I'm a friend of Megan B's from NLR. I stumbled across your blog a few months ago and I wanted you to know that your desire to have a baby and giving your will over to what God wants for you has touched me b/c I was JUST there 7 years ago. I had wanted a baby for AWHILE and my husband's timing was a little off from mine (I was in graduate school at UAMS and for some reason he didn't want to start trying in the middle of all that...ha!-smart man!). Anyway, I had to finish school, then get a job, and it felt like it just kept getting pushed back. Finally we decide to try and I just KNEW it was going to happen the first or second month. My mom and sister were both "Fertile Myrtles" and I was just expecting that for myself as well. Well, 4 months roll by...8 months...10 months...I start getting STRESSED!!!! I had my ovulation predictors, calendars, read every book I could find, had baby clothes stuffed in my pajama drawer, my whole maternity wardrobe purchased, etc. This whole time I'm going to baby shower after baby shower after baby shower for friends and it started hurting SO bad. God gave me the verse in Phil 4:6-7:"Do not be anxious about ANYTHING, but in EVERYTHING, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends ALL understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." I wrote that down and physically carried it with me. Because I knew I was anxious. I tried NOT to be in my own strength, (that's kind of hard for me...letting Him do things for me), but when I finally gave this to Him, He performed a miracle in my life. I was pregnant a month later! It was only a God thing! I tell you this story to encourage you. I have been so close to where you are now. Your blog encourages me a lot and I wanted to pass along what God did for me. Now, more than seven years after learning this lesson I have a first grader who is growing to love the Lord himself. Hanging in his room is the the verse in 1st Samuel 1:27 where Hannah prayed these words:"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him." Kelly, just wanted to introduce my self as another blog friend-it's very nice to meet you! Amy

Too cute! Honestly, when you have your little bundle of joy you may not have as much free time to shop for such adorable things, so there is absolutely nothing wrong with being prepared!!!! I love them!

"Cute shoes maketh the heart happy." I think that's in scripture somewhere. :)

Those are PRECIOUS. There will be a sweet baby to fill those soon I believe!
