Random Tuesday

An assortment of stuff:

Judy at Gracious Southern Living tagged me to write about how I met my husband. (She has a great site). Judy - thank you so much for tagging me. I wrote about it a while back here. So you can go there to read my story.

This morning when I left for work it was 65 degrees. When I left work tonight, it was 25 degrees. Brrrrrr.........I am SO ready for spring.

Here is the bulletin board I did a few weeks ago hanging up. I have started to refer to it as my "blessings board" because I have all of the sweet cards that people have sent me recently to encourage me. God has blessed me with an abundance of thoughtful friends.

Just this week - I got this hand made card and Bible Verse in the mail from Lena. It meant so much to me. This has inspired me to work harder at sending people cards or writing e-mails or making a phone call to encourage them and let them know I am thinking of them. It's amazing how such a small gesture can mean so much.

Biggest Loser AND American Idol are on tonight! I'm in my PJ's (6:30 p.m.) and primed and ready to watch!!!!

That is such a great verse! Sounds like you have some good friends.

This is one of my favorites

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you

What a lucky girl you are to have a bulletin board full of wishes for you from sweet friends!

Fantastic idea about the "Blessings Board." I do a similar thing in my Bible with cards and pictures that really speak to me.

I loved The Biggest Loser! I know we don't see eye to eye on the trainers but I hope we can still be friend. I know you REALLY like Bob and Jillian happens to be my favorite. I hope J can work her magic. She's got a lot ahead of her. B was a little scared of the competition...picking all the big losers! I guess he isn't really up for a challenge! Oops...I told myself I would say anything bad about the second (3rd, after Dawson) love of your life!

I am so bad about sending cards. I am going to try to do better, because it means so much to get a card just when you need it.

Love that your board is so full!

Kelly: I always tell my husband I've got to have all "his" money since I'm older I'll probably "go" first and I need to spend all I can while I can (ha ha)...he doesn't think that's very funny (wonder why)? I think men do gravitate to older women because we are more mature, don't play games, etc. David told me one of the reasons why we talked for so long before we went out was because he wanted to see if I was the type of person that "had to have a man" in my life. He'd had some bad relationships with very needy, clingy, co-dependent women and didn't want his next relationship to be with someone like that. I think he got more than he bargained for with me cause I'm real independent!

Today I was driving down the road and a song came on the radio that immediately made me think of you. It was "If You Want Me To" by Ginny Owens. I think anyone can identify... Such great lyrics! Still praying...

Kelly!! Hey!! I finaly made it onto your blog!! Isn't that terrible!! I've had this address in my to-do pile since before Christmas. And, thank you, by the way, for the note of sympathy regarding David's father. Anyway, I enjoy your blog and love that you have it, so that I can keep up with and keep in touch with you. You are obviously busy, but hopefully not too busy to come over for dinner one night soon. Just call me if you can and we'll set up a good time. Thinking of you often!! Nicole

I love the board!!! I need to do something like that too! I have a bulletin board and I do not want to put it out because it is ugly. I should cover it in fabric!!! You are so cute and creative!
