Hit that line, Hit that Line, Keep on going

Edit: Go to Guy and Julie's blog to read Guy's synopsis for the season. I have to admit it's funny but if you haven't figured it out - he and Scott don't exactly have man crushes on Coach Nutt. They won't be inviting him over for dinner anytime soon. I'm still optimistic. It's the HOGS I love - not the coach (whover it may be).

I got this in the mail this week. Football season has officially begun! I immediately read every word. Scott and I made a small wager last night about DMAC. I am saying he WILL win the heisman this year. Scott (AKA Bitter Bobby) is saying he won't. If DMAC wins.....Scott is doing all the laundry for a month. If he doesn't win .......Scott hasn't figured out what I will have to do yet. Any suggestions?

Either way - I'm predicting 11 wins (not including bowl and championship games) and Arkansas' first ever Heisman trophy!

I think D Mac is the best collegiate football player in the country, no questions asked.
The only reason that he won't win the Heisman is because there has only been 1 player in the last 10 years to win this award on a team that had 2 or more losses (I believe it was Ricky Williams - '97 Texas). I think the Razorbacks will finish around 8-4, with tricky games against KY & SC which could add to loss column. I'd be happy to be wrong, but any team that stops the run will beat us.

I kind of have to agree with Anonymous...I'm not betting on him getting the Heisman. I also don't think we'll have 11 wins, but I would love to be proved wrong!!! Go Hogs!

I think I should have said proven wrong...

I think if DMAC wins, you should have to make Scott go to the next Razorfest, stand in line, get Houston Nutt's autograph (without saying it's for his "little brother"), and tell Nutt with a straight face how much he appreciates him as a head coach.

Normally I wouldn't sell my boy down the river like this, but I'm only doing it because I agree with Anonymous. There is no way he wins the Heisman on a 7-5, at best, 8-4 team. Finishing 3rd in the West and going to the Weedeater/Taco Bell/Chia Pet Independence Bowl won't help either.

Just FYI - Anonymous is Scott. :-)
I knew because this was one of his direct quotes as we were arguing over the season. ha!

And I'm guessing Anonymous #2 is Guy Green. (AKA Bitter Billy) :-)

HDN doesn't do autographs anymore... but he'll send you a text message! (unless you're a recruit of course)

Yes, #2 is Guy, aka "Tha Truth-Teller".

I heard that HDN is not going to signal in the plays, he's going to make his QBs wear Blackberrys on their hip and he's going to text in the play. Of course, the first play will be "off-tackle right" and then every message after that will say "same as b4".

That's right, tell it like it is Truth-Teller.

Kelly, you've got this one in the bag! If Scott loses, he has to come on your blog and make a public apology post! Complete with a picture of you dancing cirles around him.

You guys can't start this junk on the blogs too. Keep it to the emails! No one else needs to have to read these little exchanges!

Not sure if he will win the Heisman, but after all:

I'm thinking 9-3.

Kelly,
I hope you are right...but, I might have to agree with the hubby on this one. As badly as I want DMAC to win the Heisman, it will be tricky to do so if we can't get past teams like SC and Kentucky...which I am not convinced that we can! Not to forget Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee, LSU...I don't know that there is any way we are getting out of this season with less than 4 losses. I hope I am wrong.

I DO love the bet to have to face Houston and tell him how respectable he is! Good Call!
