Blessed be the name

I have gone through something this week that has put me through a roller coaster of emotions. Even though it has been a very difficult day - it has made me realize a few things.
1. I have a wonderful husband who is so sweet and supportive. He is one of my biggest blessings.
2. Scott and I have been blessed with a great number of wonderful friends and family. When something bad happens - it is comforting to have people who are there for you. I don't think they realize how much just a simple phone call can mean.
3. It is amazing how God prepares you for things that you have to walk through. For the last few weeks - I have been at conferences and heard sermons that all centered around trusting God. And I have such a peace right now in my situation because I truly am trusting God. He has never forsaked me yet and I know he never will. I also knows that He knows the plans He has for me - plans to give me a hope and future.
This song has been going through my head all day - because for once I feel like I CAN truly praise God even in my suffering - not just when everything is perfect.

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

What a blessing you are to us, Kelly. You're an inspiration, even when you are going through a very rough time. I love you! JS

This is one of my all time favorite songs. TRUST is such a huge thing! But God is FAITHFUL!

"Faithful is He Who is calling you to Himself, and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it, that is, fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you." 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (Amplified Bible)

Whatever your struggles, whatever your fears, whatever pulls at your heart, God is bigger than any of them. He is so good and He is always God, despite the "evidence" to the contrary.

I love that song, especially the one that Tree 63 did. They kept in the words that really spoke to my heart when I heard it the first time:

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
He gives and takes away
He gives and takes away
My heart will choose to say
Blessed be Your name

What amazes me is that it is MY CHOICE to bless God's name, no matter my circumstances. I choose to believe that God does have a plan and a purpose even if I cannot see it presently.
