Drawing

I had to share this with you ...........this sweet lady in Canada wrote me last week and said her husband was a portrait artist and would like to draw a picture of Harper. And today we got the mail and this was in our mail..................this amazing drawing of Harper. I just love it!
A sweet 16 year old girl name Katelyn drew this for us a few months ago and sent it to us and we are so proud of it also!
We are hanging in there! I slept all day yesterday and have been in bed most of today. I feel SO much better today! I had 102.5 fever yesterday and it finally broke and now I feel like a new woman. Scott is doing so great taking care of Harper! I think he has learned that my job is not as easy as he might have thought! ha! I prayed several times last night for single moms. I want you to know if you are a single mom - you are in my prayers. It would be so hard to do this alone. Please pray for those single moms (or single dads) during these long winter months!

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday. I wish we could be taking our little piggy out for trick or treating tonight but we have MANY more years to do that!

I am so sorry you have the flu, as I have had it this year and it's not fun at all! I pray for your speedy recovery.

Also, thank you so much for what you said about single parents. Even though my son is 22, I was and still am a single mom since day one. It has been the hardest job EVER, lol, but one I wouldn't trade for anything. I also teach K, so there were certainly crazy days, lol. It means the world to me,and I'm sure many others, your kind comments. Thank you!

I love those drawings. I wish we were taking Lauren treat or treating too but we are waiting until she's old enough to get it. Glad you're feeling better. And yes, I always pray for single moms. With Todd being gone 4 days a week, it feels like I'm a single mom those days with no family around. I can't imagine 7 days a week!

I'm praying that you feel better soon. I was a bit under the weather this week also. I am glad to be feeling better too.

I am very thankful for my husband, and that he helped me with the kids while I was down. I can't imagine being a single mom. I too will say a prayer for them.

Happy Halloween to you and your adorable family.

It's amazing the compassion for others God gives us during our weakest moments. Single moms definitely need understanding, appreciation, and lots of prayer!

I've been praying a lot for ya'll and the other mommies and babies who were at your house the other day. Glad to hear you are feeling better. :)

I am so glad you are feeling today. I'm sure Scott is doing a wonderful job. It will certainly make him appreciate your new job even more, huh?

Happy Halloween!

So glad you are feeling better quickly! While I'm not a single mom normally, my husband is currently deployed. My only worry about the flu is that my 2 kids and myself will catch it all at the same time. That would be a nightmare!!!

Hope you feel 100% soon and no one else catches it in your house! :D

Thank you for the prayers for Single Moms like myself! I do think when I am sick it makes it so clear that I am doing it alone!

Take care of yourself! You are a true blessing to so many!

Let's not forget those single dads. My son is one, and it is hard. God intended for 2 parents, but sometimes, it just isn't. Take care of yourself. Scott is doing great...

Happy Halloween Harper!
Hope you all get well soon! The kids had it back in July or Aug, wasn't too bad but it kept coming back to another family member like a week after the other would get well.

So glad you're feeling better...that Tamiflu must make a HUGE difference. I've had the flu twice and didn't catch it in time for the Tamiflu (plus I can't take it - alergic or something) and you'll think you're dying with the flu!!

Oh my gosh, I was just thinking the same thing about single moms. My husband was out of town and I was alone with out 3-month old for over a week. It is SO hard! Women who do it all alone every day are my heroes!

Thank you from a single mom. :)

It is hard being a single mom, a road I wished that I didn't have to travel but my husband walked out on the three of us, BUT I can praise God and thank Him for being with us and caring for us and giving me the strength and wisdom as I parented my two sons. God never left us and He was faithful to us and provided for ALL of our needs!

My sons are young adults now and my heart is tender to young , single moms. This is true, We can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength!

Blessings,
Patty

I am glad you are feeling better and I am praying for you and your upcoming mission trip!

Those drawings are beautiful! And how SPECIAL! I remember my ex-boyfriend's momma (are we allowed to talk about exes - haha!) anyhoo, she had a drawing done of all of her sons, and I used to think that was one of my favorite things in her home. I would LOVE to have drawings of Amelia Kate and Jack.

Thanks for your single mom mention;)
Just imagine though it's not just when we're sick we don't have help. It's all day every day with everything--creepy crawlies, discipline, home repairs, income, the list goes ON!

I wrote a couple posts about how to help a single mom.

Just some ideas people don't even realize are helpful.

Hope you're better soon.

I think sometimes moms get sick just so dads can appreciate us more.
